Mr. Schroeder graduated cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2003, where he distinguished himself as a senior member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) Trial Team and received the Warren D. Wolfson Award for Best Trial Advocate. He previously graduated with a B.S. degree cum laude and from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2000.
As a prosecutor, he successfully tried more than 50 complex felony trials to verdict.

Mr. Schroeder has devoted his career to the courtroom. After law school, he became an Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney, quickly advancing through the ranks and becoming one of the youngest prosecutors at the time to earn the designation of Special Prosecutor. As a prosecutor, he successfully tried more than 50 complex felony trials to verdict.
In 2007, Mr. Schroeder transitioned to civil litigation and began using his extensive trial experience to represent injured individuals and their families. In 2011, he and his partners founded Tarpey, Jones & Schroeder, LLC that specializes exclusively in personal injury and wrongful death litigation.
Throughout his career, Mr. Schroeder has successfully tried numerous criminal and civil cases to verdict, recovered millions of dollars for injured clients and their families, and argued before the First and Second District Appellate Courts of Illinois.
Mr. Schroeder’s accomplishments have been recognized by numerous legal organizations and publications. He has been selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer and Leading Lawyer in Illinois for multiple years. He also has been recognized as a “Top Attorney” in Personal Injury Law by Chicago Magazine and a Top 100 Trial Attorney in Plaintiff’s Personal Injury by The National Trial Lawyers.
