Richard Schroeder’s trial training began in law school. At Chicago-Kent College of Law, he was selected as the senior member of the National Invitational Trial Advocacy Team and received the Warren D. Wolfson Award as the best trial advocate in his class, graduating with honors in 2003.
One of the youngest prosecutors ever to earn the title of Special Prosecutor in Cook County.
As an Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney, he became one of the youngest prosecutors ever to earn the title of Special Prosecutor and tried complex bench and jury cases to verdict on behalf of the People of the State of Illinois.
In 2007, Mr. Schroeder moved into civil trial practice, joining Paul B. Episcope, LLC to represent injured individuals and their families. He has recovered millions of dollars for clients, argued before the First and Second District Appellate Courts of Illinois, and been named among the Top 100 Trial Attorneys in Illinois, a Top 40 Under 40 honoree, and a Super Lawyers Rising Star on multiple occasions.
